I've owned a 1G 8GB iPod touch for almost a year now, and recently when I do a hard reset it will reboot and show me the "Plug into iTunes" screen. Upon plugging it into iTunes, it resets the name of my iPod to "iPod touch" and it also changes my Region Format to United States when I live in Canada. I know this because the Weather app shows 73 degress instead of 23 degrees. This has happened 3 times in the short period of 1 week a couple months back, and I did a restore which seemed to fix the problem until it happened again yesterday. I hard reset my touch often throughout the day to refresh the system when it starts slowing down from launching many apps. My question is, has anyone else experienced this before and does anyone know how to prevent this from happening or why it does in the first place? I'm not exactly thrilled when in mid-day I reset and get the "Plug into iTunes" screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
