Playlist Help

I am having diffuculty dragging playlists I created on ot my Ipod. I just started out with installing Itunes and can only get my entire library to load onto my ipod or the already existing palylists. I only want to load a selected playlist but when I try and drag the ones I create thay have the circle with a line through it. Any help is greatly appreciated!

What kind of update mode are you in? It sounds like you are in auto updating.

You want to change to manual or playlist sync mode.

If you change to sync playlists you can tell the iPod to update only playlists that you chose (and therefor only those songs are on the library)

To drag and drop as you choose, you have to be in manual mode.

When your iPod is connected click on the iPod in the source window, and then click on the iPod preferences button in the lower right corner of the iTunes window. HEre is where you choose your update modes.

Unfortunately I tried both of those suggestions and they didn't work. When I auto update or only update selected playlists it tries but says that some of my songs didn't update including song "x" because they can not be played on an ipod (which shouldnt be true since they were just download from my cd's)

When I try to drag the playlists in manual mode they all drag to the ipod except for All of the playlists I have created. Obviously frustrating. Any more suggestions would be great, if you are stumped too, let me know. Thanks
