I have two episode of a Tv show synced to my touch. The first is Season 5 Episode 6, and the second is Season 6, Eposode 7. Common sense tells me that the earlier episode would be first on the list, and the later would be second. But they're not, they seem reversed.

I thought maybe episode name could be it, but the earlier episode would come first alphabetically as well. Episdoe number is the same way.

It's not a big deal, but puzzling to me. Any ideas?

Yes - for some reason TV shows are sorted in reverse, so the newest (or latest) is always at the top.

I have mine setup to Sync the 3 least recent unwatched episodes of each show. I then watch from the bottom up. Works well enough, but it would make more sense to sort by episode number.

I see. Thank you. Are they sorted in reverse by Episode number? Or by "Album" name?

TV Shows are sorted by episode number or alphabetically by episode name if no episode number exists.

I believe Apple chose to sort TV Shows (Podcasts too) backwards like this so if you are watching a series the newest episode will be at the top. Their theory is you will have already watched the earlier episodes so the latest un-watched episode is on top. It wouldn't take much to change the sort order, but Apple sticks to their guns when they think they are right.
