Hi all

I bought a 2nd Gen iPod Touch around Christmas and everything worked fine up until a short while ago. Now when I connect it to my PC it crashes ITunes.

I am running Vista 64 and the latest version of ITunes and previously had no problems at all (I updated ITunes after this issue started).

Seperately, the iPod and iTunes work fine, but as soon as I connect it via USB iTunes hangs and becomes unresponsive. I've left it for over an hour and still haven't had any joy. The iPod charges and is detected by windows, but not in iTunes.

I've plugged another iPod in and it works fine.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks!
Dave

Anyone got any ideas on this? Getting close to trying a factory reset as a last resort

Anyone out there got any ideas?

Is this a newly created issue with a later version of Itunes? I'm definitely running the 64 bit version. Am also finding htat Windows is recognising my iPod as a Digital Still Camera.

HELP!?

I've managed to stop windows from thinking my Touch is a digital camera, but it still makes iTunes hang. Anyone got any ideas!?

You might want to try restarting the iPod Service service in Services. I don't know about Vista (), but in Windows XP, go to Start>Run>services.msc; right-click on the iPod Service service, then left-click on Restart. Hope this helps.
