the Headphone jack on my touch is broken, it is sensitive to any movement so i get realy bad sound from it. does anyone know of any cables that will convert the ipod touch's power socket (next to the jack) to a standard 3.5mm output then i can plug it into my car adapter?
i would use an FM transmitter but they don't work in my car.

Sure, there are plenty of accessories that can do this. What you want is an accessory that takes your iPod's dock connector and outputs auxiliary audio. Most of these accessories also charge your iPod by using either a 12V power source or the cigarette lighter. I found some products through Apple's online store but I am sure you can go down to your local electronics store (Best Buy) and pick up a unit. Here (http://store.apple.com/us/product/TR824LL/A?fnode=MTY1NDA2MQ&mco=MjE1NzM1MA) is an example of one, here (http://store.apple.com/us/product/TQ076LL/A?fnode=MTY1NDA2MQ&mco=MjE0Njk2OA) is another unit (although I don't recommend this one as there are reports of it falling down a lot), and here (http://store.apple.com/us/product/TQ078LL/A?fnode=MTY1NDA2MQ&mco=MjE1NzMzNg) is yet another unit.
There are other accessories that just output audio but charger+aux units are normally only a few dollars more.
