Guys im going to china in a few days, a 22 hour flight, I only had my touch for about 2 weeks now. I was wondering if anyone can list in order what drains the battery life the fastest.
Example Wifi, video, downloading auto light, back light ect.
Becus i want to get the very best battery life for this flight. I will only be able to charge once more when we have a connecting route before the finally stretch to China. Thanks in advance :)

Well, you are not going to find a detailed list but here it goes:
1. Wi-fi
2. Screen backlight
3. On-board speaker
4. Gaming
5. Playing videos
6. Playing music
Note that using wi-fi consists of surfing the internet, downloading, and any other activities that use the wi-fi antenna. You can easily get Apple's battery life estimates by turning your backlight down to 50%, turning off the wi-fi antenna, turning the screen off when playing audio, and using playlists (for the audio, video playlists aren't supported). The two biggest consumers of battery power are the wi-fi antenna and screen backlight.
Your flight is 22 hours long. You might want to invest in an external battery as you will be able to play videos for 3 hours and audio for 18 hours (if you split everything 50/50). This really isn't a lot of time as your flight is 22 hours. You will be able to play audio for up to 36 hours straight but I don't know what else you plan on doing (watching videos, if the flight offers wi-fi, etc.).

Some airlines offer on-board power solutions. These come in the form of AC adapters or older cigarette lighters (they take the lighters out but still send power to the seats). You can call the airline and ask as you will have to purchase either an airline/car adapter (which uses the cigarette lighter) or an AC adapter.

Awesome one last question while i still remember. ACC uses less Battery than MP3 right?

No. Apple's hardware is designed to playback both AAC (not ACC) and mp3 files. There was a time when AAC actually required more power (as more processor power was used to decode the file) but Apple's hardware now runs both formats the same. The main thing you need to worry about is bitrate. A higher bitrate will require slightly more processor power. Even then I wouldn't worry about the bitrate as the iPod touch uses solid state memory. So 192kbps mp3 files will cause your iPod to last just as long as if it were playing 192kbps AAC files or even 256kbps AAC/mp3 files.
The volume level, wi-fi, and screen brightness are going to eat up more battery than the CPU playing a 320kbps mp3/AAC file.

This is just an FYI: you could get an external battery charger to take with you. This will definitely help with power supply. Some choices that will work:
iPod Energizer Portable Energi To Go Backup Battery Power Pack
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000SORRR2
I have this and it works with my iPhone & iPods (classic, 5.5 but not Nano 4G).
Also this thread has some that others have that will work to supply power:
Gen 2, Touch External Battery

Use Google to see which stores in your area may have one.

I sure hope u have a pair of IEMs - best thing since sliced bread for flights. And if u do, don't forget to purchase a volume control like THIS (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2102975) to use it with the plane's system, which puts out too loud audio for IEMs.

Not necessarily. I only fly coach and there were ten planes that I have flown on (out of 15 planes in the last year) that offered power needs. A few of them offered one power adapter per row but I made sure to claim it first as, luckily, the power adapter was located right below my seat. A couple other planes had those old cigarette lighters for each seat. The lighters were taken out but power was still sent to each outlet.
Airlines are becoming more tech friendly with the introduction of these new power strips (three "AC" outlets are offered per 3 seat row) and wi-fi. My only complaint is that they still charge for those headphones that use two 3.5mm connections. At least I have a cord that takes care of this but still, one would think that the airlines are already making enough money from each ticket sale (I spent an average of $350 per round trip ticket last year with the majority of my travel going from New Mexico to Cincinnati, OH). I remember that I used to be able to fly to places like that for less than $100. In fact, the company I work for is just thinking about compensating me for gas. I can go for about 570 miles before my car needs to be filled up. I would fill up my car about 3 times on the way there costing me a total of about $70. Add two hotel nights and the costs are actually lower than a plane ticket.
Oops, this is a different discussion for a different thread.

That's because Southwest goes to Columbus but not Cincinnati! Or u doing last minute booking, or ur company has this "deal" with AX.
Cig outlet? <gasp> how old are these planes? :D
