Currently debating between the Super.Fi 5vi, the Super.Fi 4vi and the upcoming MetroFi 220vi. Assuming money is not a prob, am I best off with the Super.Fi 5s?

If money is no issue, then it's a given.

The reason the lower end ones are cheaper is not because they are being generous.

You're paying for better sound

Ha. Ok, thanks guys. That's what I figured.

I just wish the 5s weren't so freakin' ugly.

That's exactly what I was going to say! :D I would try a pair but the shape turns me off. The metalic (clear?) blue one looks at least decent.

Ugly? I'm using the EB which look like frankenstein bolts

Yep, the EBs are even worse. lol

I love the aesthetic to the Super.Fi 4s. But the 5s have got to be better, right?

The 5's are the only in-ear I would ever consider buying. I love them.

Would not trade it for a Shue SE530, if $ no object?

Do you hear your cable? Have you tried the 4s to compare?

Yeah, some cables, (p ri ck it), is like ur wearing a stesthoscope (bad), while others, a mild and contained noise. By now one would think they perfected the cables.

So you hear it but it's not that big a deal? I'll be using the phones a lot on walks.

I appreciate the feedback.

i find that if you put the cables of your in-ears over your ears and down your back, the cable noise is greatly reduced.

I agree - it reduces the movement a lot especially the movement that's near your ear, where it's amplified the most.
