Weird sound on I Phone 2g

I have a question regarding I phones 2g.

Is it normal that when you click the home button and slide to unlock , that the phone makes a sound similar to the one of the camera when it has taken a photo?

If this is normal, is there a way to eliminate it on the settings?

yes it is normal. if you want to have no clicking go to settings, sounds, and turn lock sounds off. this should stop the sound.
