Sony CPA-9C Car Cassette Adapter

I bought the Sony Cassette Adapter yesterday, and the hissing makes it a total waste of money.

Will I have any better success with an iTrip, Transpod, or TuneCast?

I have a VW Golf and live in Washington, DC.

I also foudn that it made a lot of distortions. But the key I found, is turn you ipod sound down-(halfway or lower), and turn up your car stereos(for more volume). This elimanates any distortion. And the sound is awesome for a cassetter player.
