iphone apps have no sound!

every time I run an app there is no sound coming from the speaker but there is sound when I use headphones. I do however get sound from the speaker when I play music or videos. anyone know how to fix this?

There is different volumes on the iPhone. Ringer (no applications or music/videos), Applications (music/video and of course applications), and headphones.
Use your volume buttons when your in your application.

Also, check the mute switch isn't on.

Last thing is hold home & sleep for 10 seconds (don't flick the switch) and let it reset.
