EDGE vs. Bluetooth

I am using a 3G phone on T-Mobile.

I hooked up my bluetooth (Oticon ePoq hearing aids and a streamer) to my iPhone today. When I did so, I noticed my EDGE network was gone. I was able to reestablish it by turning airplane mode off and on again, but it wasn't long before it disappeared again. When I turned Bluetooth off the network came back and stayed back. It doesn't seem like it could be a coincidence. Any thoughts on what might be going on?

That is very strange. Perhaps there is an error with the hardware's circuitry? Both radios should work simultaneously.

I understand T mobile had an outage in the MPLS area yesterday. I think that may have been the cause. Haven't had the guts to try again, though...
