Hi all, I’m going to Italy for a week and will be doing a fair amount of driving. Does anybody know if the GPS on my American iPhone 3G will work there?
I know that there will be some data charges, but does anybody know how data-intensive using the GPS with Google maps is? Does anybody know if ATT will let you upgrade to an international package for a month, and if so, if 20MB of data will be enough as long as I’m solely using the map, and not safari or email or anything else?
I’m trying to decide if that will work, or if I need to see if I can get a GPS device for the rental car.
