I'm not sure whether this is a request for help or a warning for others. I guess it could be taken as both.

My problems are small ones, to the point that some people might brush it off as a mild inconvenience. Nevertheless, it's nerve grinding for me. First thing out of the way: I'm stuck in Poland for an extended period of time, and being a fan of Apple products, I decided to get myself an iPhone through Orange, having had good experiences with their UK branch.

On my part, that was a big mistake. First, I don't get service in Germany, which I would have gotten had I gone with Era. Second, I'm getting less bang for buck than Era would have given me with their iPhone plans. (I mean, damn, even the recorded messages are nasty. Imagine dialing a number with a typo to suddenly be greeted by, "We're sorry, there's no such number," in the most condescending, insincere, and annoyed tone a person could muster.) I found out too late that the company I'm dealing with isn't Orange, but some sort of Polish national telecom that licensed the Orange brand. Freaking figures this would happen to me in Poland. Unfortunately, the termination fee is so big that I might as well just stick with Orange until my contract expires.

But I'm getting off track. My actual problems involve my iPhone itself.

First, a problem I have no hope of getting fixed: no visual voicemail. I would've brought an unlocked iPhone with me to Poland, but I figured I'd get an iPhone plan specifically for that feature, and here I am, high and dry. In retrospect, that's to be expected, since this isn't Orange, but a telecom posing as Orange with similar products and none of the service quality.

The second problem, hopefully one you guys might help me with, is a bookmark in Safari that just won't go away. To be specific, it's an ill-conceived web portal that only works with Poland's Orange hotspots. Deleting it did nothing, as it comes right back when Safari's bookmarks are opened. Jailbreaking was fruitless. It's driving me insane. It's like a crapplet on a new Windows PC that you just can't uninstall.

Like I said, some people would look at this and say, "So what?" but for me, this is really aggravating. I've managed to live with it for a few months now, so no, it's not going to kill me, but it's painful all the same. If I could get any help getting rid of that bookmark, I'd deeply appreciate it.
