Internet access on my Mac via iPhone?

Is there something out there to make this happen or am I just crazy for even thinking of such blasphemy...Wouldn't it be nice to be able to access the internet on your Mac via your iPhone. My scenario is that I don't have internet at my house, so since I've got my iPhone it's been nice to be able to access it when home on the iPhone itself over the 3G network or even just the regular "E" network (no wifi around here currently)...so is there a way that the iPhone could be hooked to my MacBook Pro and the computer would be able to use the iPhones internet hookup?

And no, the term you're wanting is tethering, and as far as we know AT&T is saying they're bringing it to the iPhone, but it's been a good long while.
There were some applications that allowed it, but were pulled (I'm guessing because AT&T didn't want them) although some people believe it was because Apple was ready to release their own tethering (they don't like mimic applications, although the new release of browsers has changed that recently.)

So in short, not at the moment, unless there's some sort of jailbreak application.

Yeah, Nullriver's NetShare was the tethering app that had everyone talking but it was pulled from the Apple store. I think it was under $10. As ReyZero pointed out - there are jailbroken options out there. Tethering is not an app I need but I can see how handy it would be for many.

Jailbreak your phone and use tethering. It's as simple as that.

Jailbroken phones have an awesome easy to use app that can tether the phone. But using it with edge would be horribly slow.

jaadu vnc is a great app that not only lets you view the internet but also let you view the rest of your computer on your iphone. the only problem with it is that it is $25 and is kind of slow.

Yah laptop to the phone to the internet. Since I don't have internet at my house, I'd like to be able to access it on my MacBook Pro via the iPhone. I guess I'm just dreaming for now.
