Deleting emails

For some reason I can no longer delete emails from my iphone :mad:

If I hit the delete button it comes up with

"Unable to Move Message

The message could not be moved to the mailbox trash"

This results in me having loads of mails in my inbox that I no longer need :rolleyes:

Anyone any idea how to fix this problem?

Is your trash can full, have you ever clean out your trash?

Ok, I've now stopped receiving emails to my iphone :( maybe it's full or something but as it won't let me delete any what do I do?????

Have you tried to delete your email account and re-add it? Also what kind of email account do you have? Hotmail, Gmail, AOL? Is your phone jailbroken? Sometimes when you jailbrake your since it restores your phone it will delete your email password.

I have the same issue with my account. Started getting this message about a month ago. I am current on all software updates and have AOL (AO Hell). I also dumped the email account and re-added it to no avail.

pug, do you have aol as well? 4sforfun sounds like alot of work but you tried mayeb adding a different email from say a friend or even create an account with Gmail and try and see if you get emails that way.

Yes, I am on AOL too :(

But I have set up another email address on there and that won't delete mails either so I don't think it's anything to do with that

I'll try deleting and setting back up again but it's weird :shake:

So I started having this exact same issue today after changing an account from POP to IMAP. I figured out a workaround;

Click on edit
Select the email you want to delete
Click on move
Click o trash

Bingo! It's gone!
