I have an iphone with an application called Roku remote. It controls my Soundesign Roku M1000, which is network music player. When controlling a song I can see the album cover on the iphone, then when I tap on the cover picture the lyrics come up. Are they lyircs stored on the tag of the song or are they just here becasue I am using this application. The reason I am asking is that I am short on space and if there is 3000 songs with lyrics attached to them and I can remove the lyrics then I might be able to make some room. So where do I find these lyrics?

I know when you're in iTunes and you right click a song and click get info, I believe there's a lyrics tab. Not sure how much space you'll gain from removing text though, but everything counts
Yes, they are stored in the audio file as a tag. Removing lyrics from 3000 songs to make room for a half dozen more is idiotic, though.

I realize that Dim, but how do you do it. I will never use the lyrics. If I can make room for a few more songs then I am all for it.
Rey, I have checked that tab and the lyrics arent there. Its a strange thing. Maybe its just part of the Network Music player that I have?

If the lyrics are not in the tag, then your Roku is getting the lyrics from the web (based on the song/artist name). Therefore, the lyrics are not taking up precious space on your iPhone.

When you say that they are on the tag, do you mean when I right click and go to the Lyrics tab? If so then they are not there.

Yes, tag = Get Info. No lyrics, no space occupied.
