Did a search but couldn't find this info, I'm using 10.4 Mail on my PowerBook and wondered if there's a way to sync it with my iPhone? At nigjt when i get home it'd be nice to not have to go through a bunch of messages on my PowerBook that I've already received on my iPhone. I wish the "been read" status my iPhone gives a message after reading would transfer over to the same message in my PowerBook mail program. Is this possible?

You can close your e-mail at home and set the iPhone to delete messages from the server when it downloads them.

But if I'd like to be able to access all email on both units I'm out of luck?

I don't see how you can. If they are both on at the same time the mail will come to whichever device queries the server first. I suppose you could set both Mail and the iPhone to leave the messages on the server and you manually clean it up as you desire.

I leave my e-mail at home off during the day so everything comes to my phone. Then I download it all from my desktop and it is then removed from the server. I do the same with my laptop too. That way mail only gets deleted when I get it on my desktop since it is the master storage device. This comes in handy when I am out of town on business.
