My Jailbroken/Unlocked iPhone stopped running third party apps a few weeks ago, I figured something got messed up with the memory so I re installed the pwned firmware and it worked fine, until now that i added songs to it, it wont run the apps again. What can I do? I have just used 4.8GB of the 8GB model.

Thanks

You say you just added the music, any chance you also updated to the new update from Apple as well. If so you will need to re-jailbreak your phone.

Hi cessna.
Yeah I have the latest software pwned. 2.2. so upgrading to 2.2.1. is not an option for me since I cannot lose my unblock.

Also, when I erase the music, apps wont start until i uninstall and re-install them. But then again, I add some more music and they stop working, they will not boot up, I launch them and then it just goes back to the homescreen.

Is there a chance you deleted a part of the jailbreak that was needed, maybe one of the sources? On either case, this is what I would be. Install the new software from Apple, then go back to the iclarified website and get the latest pwnage software to re-jailbreak your phone. It is available already. I know its a pain, but if you do it right it shouldn't take too long. Keep in mind that the Cydia server is down right now for a couple of hours so you might have to wait until later this afternoon to do the re-install of the applications. But this the problem with jailbroken iphones, seems every once in a while you have to redo it all. Good Luck

cessna, first of all, thanks for your replies.

I did it all over again, and I still have the same issue. It is important to point out that the apps do run well as long as I dont have "too much" music on the iPhone. once i reach the 4gb, they stop running....can you think of anything else I can use?

This is stumper, one other thing I can think of is that maybe you have a bad sectore on the hard drive of the iphone. I knnow these are the wrong terms because I think the iphone is not a hard drive but a flash drive, but I think you get the point. Maybe there is a point on the hard drive/flash drive that when you reach that point it freaks out your iphone. Also maybe it a bad application. Have you tried adding one application on at a time and seeing which one is it that may be causing the problem. Also try to add the music in a different order, maybe there is a file right at the 4gb mark that is causing the problem.
