Iphone on a new laptop

Hi Guys,


I know this has been spoken about before, but my problem isnt the music its the apps etc downloaded on my iphone. I wanted to move itunes to my laptop as it is on my main pc and was worried that when I synced it for the first time I would lose all the Apps I have downloaded. How can I stop this?

I think no matter what when you move itunes to your laptop and I am assuming you have your music on a portable hard drive or you will be importing all your CD's again, then when you connect your iphone to that laptop it will resync and tell you that it needs to erase your old library and add all the new stuff. Since this is the case you would just go to your itunes folder on your pc and copy all the applications in your mobile application folder, then paste those applications into the new Mobile Applications folder in the new install of itunes on your laptop. Just make sure you are singed into the itunes store on your laptop so that it knows you are the owner of the apps. Also you will need to add that folder to your library just as if you were adding a folder that contained music. In my case its: file-add folder to library-my documents-my music- itunes-mobile applications. Hope this helps.
