You can only rearrange/edit the on-the-go playlist.

Welcome to iLounge.

You have to rearrange your playlists while it is connected to iTunes.

You can't rearange a playlist on the fly on the iPhone.

To reorder a playlist you must have the left most column of the playlist selected and make sure shuffle is off. After you reorder a playlist, right click on the playlist and select "copy to playorder" This is very important if you make the changes directly to a manually managed iPod. If on autosync, make the changes then resync.

Sorry, I dont know what you mean by "you must have the left most column of the playlist selected"

I have my iphone currently plugged in and opened in iTunes, mind guiding me through?

Thanks for the welcome too :)

With the contents of the playlist in view, click on the header (box) above the left-most column, the one with all the numbers. Once you click on the header of that column, that unlocks it so that you can drag songs to the desired order (but make sure that the iTunes shuffle is turned off). Once you have the desired order, right-click on the playlist name and select "Copy to play order" to lock in the new order.
