When I sync my iPhone to the computer, some songs that are on the computer do not sync to the iPhone. What should I do?

More info would help. Do you have it set to manual?is your library bigger than your capacity? Do you have it set to sync checked music?

No, I check sync all songs and playlists. I only have about 300 songs and I can see that I still have 2.2 GB free space on my iPhone.

There are multiple reasons why a song may not sync to the iPhone.
1) Not checked, or doesn't match to your sync settings
2) Corrupt MP3/tag headers
3) Not a compatible file. (iTunes will accept Mpeg 2 files, they won't sync to the iPod)
4) A protected file from an unauthorized computer (iTunes) or some other protected file.
5) Music videos are in the "music" count. If you aren't including music videos to sync, the number on the iPhone will be less than iTunes
6) Digital booklets, they take up a number, but don't sync to the iPod
7) Digital radio streams, they can take up a place in your library, but don't sync.

If the songs that aren't syncing to the iPod are iTunes purchases, first check to see if they are protected or the new iTunes plus. So none of the identified songs are ripped songs?
If they are protected, make sure that you have the most recent firmware for your iPod.
You may try unauthorizing the computer, then reauthorizing the computer, and then resyncing.

i have no itunes plus songs and i have done the authorizing process. i asked my friend who used to work at apple and he said he used to have the same problem. he said to reset my phone. i already did that too. it worked for him though.

Stop the presses! Are these songs "part of compilation"? If so make sure to check for the songs under compilations on the iPod, if they are part of compilation and the only songs by the artists the songs will not be there under artist, but you should be able to find them under song and album usually, but certainly under the compilations heading.
If not, time to go through even more trouble shooting. There use to be a troubleshooting guide for this, but I'm not finding it on Apple's site, so through my memory.
Do the problem songs play in iTunes? If they don't something is wrong with their individual authorizations.
If you are on a Mac, try repairing permissions.
If you have reset, if you are certain they are authorized (they play in iTunes), if you are certain they are checked, or appropriately set to sync, and you are 100% up to date on firmware for your iPod, your last recourse is to remove the songs from iTunes, then readd them and see if readding them to iTunes helps.
If all these things are done and still no love, it's time to go to your purchase history, find the problem songs there, and click "report a problem".
