Yesterday I had finally synced some stuff(manually because a long time ago I switched comps and didn't want to erase my data)... but today all my data got transfered to others and auto deleted after plug-in. Now I know I can't do crap about that, everything I lost is lost, but I can still get to my Pictures Folder and I have close to... 8666 pictures(in the "saved photos" library, not the synced ones) and I would much like to get them out and saved on my comp, a good percentage of them are memories, fun, and pictures I would much like to keep.

Yet when I connect my Touch, It usually(or never) ask "how would you like to use this device" such as asking how you'de like to activate your touch, as a Camera or what, I finally got it to do it, No idea how, yet it had nothing in the DCIM folder, I checked them, no pictures... and I can't re connect it. There has to be a way to retrieve my Saved Photos back. :<.

The problem is that photos aren't stored on the iPod touch using traditional methods. You see, iTunes will scan photos and then merge all of your photos into special files. All photos are downscaled to 640X480 and converted to special files for iPod compatibility. This means that one file can contain over one photos. There used to be special software for getting photos off of 5G iPods but it was never updated for iPod touch compatibility.

So I think your photos are lost. They are definitely lost if you ended up restoring your iPod touch. Let this be a lesson to you: ALWAYS have a copy of your media (music, videos, photos, etc.) on your computer. You can purchase a 160GB external hard drive for $50 these days. There is just no excuse to not have a copy of your media on your computer. iPods should never, ever, ever, ever be used as the sole storage medium for anything especially photos.

I have all my media, trust me on that part, just not my "saved Photos"

Ah. Still, I think you are SOL. There is a program called Image Capture that might work. Just keep in mind that your photos are going to be compressed and have a resolution of 640X480. I did some Googling around and that program was recommended the most simply because it could see the iPod touch as an image source. I don't know if it will actually work or not and most of these programs seem to be Mac OS X only.

you can see if this will work for you:
http://www.findleydesigns.com/ipodaccessphoto/indexWin.html

You can also check out the software that supports the iPod touch listed in this grid:

Look under #8 here for software and check the websites to see which ones are updated to support the iPod touch & photo support:
