I can't find the "perfect" case. I have a clear iSkin Solo that's very nice. I suppose it's about perfect but I thought I'd try something else. I looked around and it seemed like the Griffin Wave was really cool looking and there seemed to be a lot of positive reviews. So I ordered the white one for my white iPhone. I got it and it is cool. It was a breeze to put on. Still not sure why everyone is reporting how hard it is to install. Anyway I really like it. However now that I have it I see all these people complaining how it scratches the phone. WTF! That's not good. Actually I don't even see how it's scratching the phone. While it's a hard case it's still plastic and everyone is saying it scratches the chrome bezel.

I really want to use this Wave but I don't want to end up scratching the phone which is the whole point. What's the deal? Is this a design flaw? Is it from debris getting under it? Improper installation? What? I'd appreciate someone that's using the Wave long term giving me the low-down.

Thanks.

So far I've come to enjoy the CapsuleNeo, and the only real problems with it have been with the black (SwitchEasy has some really bad quality in their black silicones) and since you want white (I'm assuming) then you'll be fine.

I went through about 5 cases and finally bought the Incase Slider which ended my search for the perfect case.

I much prefer cases like the Rebel/Neo or Candyshell because of the extra covering over the home and volume buttons. It's so much easier to get to rather then trying to force your pinky into hitting them

I just wish I could confirm if the Wave does indeed scratch the iPhone. I really like this. I've been using it regardless the last week and it's just what I want. I honestly don't see how this thing could scratch it but I keep seeing people stating it does. Actually I see people complaining about a lot of case that do. Very ironic.

I've actually thought about the Rebel. Looks bulky though. I would get the Arctic since I like seeing the Apple logo through the skin. I hate how the plastic on those scratch up too.

Almost all the cases out there scratch, its just a matter of luck.

Here are some :

Incase Slider (it gave me one NASTY 3 inch gash in the side, luckily i was replacing that iPhone)

Capsulerebel (saggy bottom scratches chrome)

IS, Bodyguardz ETC (if a big lint gets under it might scratch it cause of the pressure)

Any hard case if lint gets in.
