First let me apologize in advance if this is a redundant question but I did search the forum (and even submitted the question to the 'Ask iLounge' guys).
Is there anything in Apple's App store that will give the iPod Touch or iPhone some sort of custom EQ? I understand there are limitations to what third party developers are allowed to tinker with, I wasn't sure if audio-out was one of them.
If the answer is no, does anyone make a passive EQ that you could connect between your iPod and your headphones? I'm not looking for anything complicated, just something the size of say, the current iPod Shuffle, with sliders for bass and treble. I know Koss makes one but I haven't seen any favorable reviews on it.
Please don't take this as an attack on the iPod's sound quality, I just need a little more bass/treble (less midrange) than Steve Jobs is willing to give us!:)
