I would like to be able to share my Mac's iTunes library with both my iPod Touch and my 4th Gen iPod but it seems to only recognize my 4th gen. When I hook up the Touch, the iTunes appn won't recognize it, i.e no icon appears in the column on the left.
Perhaps this question is answered elsewhere on the site, by my search doesn't turn it up.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Try plugging your iPod touch into a different USB port. I would recommend using a USB port that is directly connected to your Apple computer. In other words, don't use a USB hub or a USB port located on your keyboard.

Is your iTunes the latest version as well?

Thanks, I'll try a different port, but I'm not using a hub nor a keyboard port.

Lemmee check. I THINK so, but I haven't put in the paid upgrade for the 4th gen.
Thanks, I'll checkitout.

Thank you. I changed the port to a USB and....it worked! Many thanks. BTW, the upgrade I mentioned was only for the iTouch. Duh!
Good thing i gottit working, the Touch belongs to my wife and she was ticked off that i'd messed it up.
