How much can I sell my 1 month old 2G iPod touch for? It's barely used (0 scratches) and comes with a nice Elan style hard-shell case and screen protector. I guess in the end I'm just trying to figure out what my losses are going to be...

Well, it doesn't matter how old your iPod touch is at the product is still used. You will get the same amount even if it was a few months old. The thing that will hurt you the most is the iPod's capacity. 8GB is the lowest model and many people are looking for 16GB+ devices.
Most people seem to be getting around $180-$200 for their used 2G 8GB iPod touch models. You cannot expect to get over $200 for the device (no matter how old it is or how much you didn't use it) as people can purchase them new from Apple for $24 more or new from Amazon.com for $15 more.
You can put it out there for an even $200 but it might sit in limbo for months on end. You can also put a price tag of $180 on it and you might sell it right away. I don't know how much $20 is worth to you. There are some idiots out there expecting to sell their 2G 8GB iPod touch models for more than $224 but, like I said, they are idiots.

So the case & protector doesn't add any value? Like I can't sell it for $205 or $210 or something?
