Help please, I can't find my files on my Touch..

Hi,
I just encountered a problem on my iTouch..

I have 3,4Gig worth of music/video's on my iTouch and since an hour or two I can't find them anymore.. I wanted to turn on some music and they were all gone.. the funny thing is, is that when I hook it up to the PC and connect to iTunes, it still says that "something" has filled 3,4Gig on my iPod but it's not my music (according to iTunes that is). And when I look at the general info on my iPod, it also says that 3,4Gig of space is used, but still I don't see my music..

My question is: Can I get my music back, and what does this mean?

The files are still on the Touch, but it has lost (or corrupted) the connection between its internal database and the files. You'll have to Restore the Touch, which will erase it. Hopefully you have your music on your computer, not just on the Touch.

I had over 2000 songs and they were gone after i unplugged my iTouch. My boyfriend tried to use some software online but it didn't find anything. He said you gotta take it apart and hook it up to your computer to do anything like that, but he couldn't do it.

I brought it to these "epic data recovery . com" guys in Queens and they recovered my songs :) in 1 day. I think it deletes your songs if you don't unplug it right. Now i know. :mad:
