3g ipod touch????

First post be gentle!!! :)

Does anyone one have any idea when the 3g ipod touch will be out / or what sort of time scale was between the first and second gens.

As my 80 gb has just broke on me, and im looking to get a touch. As the 32gb is slightly too small for all of my stuff (yes i know i can cut back, but that was one of the major selling point for ipods all you music all the time) and i don't really want to pay alot of money for something which i have to downscale the size of my music collection, only for apple to release the next gen with alot more space, more features and for about the same amount money that i would pay for the current top model.

So if anyone has any idea and can advise before i make the error of purchasing before knowing of an impending release that woud be great. Thanks

Sure in September no set rules but as long as I been buying iPod updates come in September. When September does come Apple may or may not do anything to justify the term 3G Touch but we need to wait 9 months to see.

September or October, that is when Apple refreshes their iPod lines. Apple will either come out with new generation models or just just update their older ones. For example, Apple did not come out with a new generation iPod classic this last September. They came out with a refreshed model that had additional features.

So you can either expect a 3G 64GB iPod touch this September or a 2.5G 32GB/64GB iPod touch with some slight modifications. No one ever knows what Apple will truly do as they keep a tight lid on things. Information is only let lose by Apple themselves. There was one time when a website (I think it was Appleinsider.com) obtained cellphone pictures of the 3G iPod nano a few days before it was released (it actually wasn't a direct picture but rather a picture of a presentation showing off the new iPods) but that was it.

You can either get an iPod now or wait 9 months.
