Okay, so I'm going to say right from the off that I don't really understand this whole touch 2G being incompatible (or only compatible, I can't remember which) with firwire charging thing, whic is why I'm just checking this. I have a wall plug with a USB slot in it that came with an old mobile and I have used with the cable that came with my 1st gen nano to charge it for ages. However, yesterday I bought a new touch, and when I plug it in it doesn't even accept that it's connected to anything, is this likely to be an incompatibility issue? And, if so, is it still possibly to buy wall chargers for 2nd gen touches?
Thanks,
Abi x

There are multiple wall chargers that you could buy your iPod touch, either Apples or third part made specificaly for the iPhone.

I can't speak to exactly why this wall charger is not working, but electronics are fickle things, and in the world of iPod, it's always best to not "cheap out" for generic and buy something that is tried and tested for the iPod to escape incompatibility and any issues you may have.
