Songs won't play on iPod nano

Okay, there are 4 songs on my iPod which won't play, every other song will, just not these...

They do play in iTunes, but on my iPod it just skips to the next one after a few seconds of nothing...

What's going wrong?

a problem with the actual file maybe, can you play this on itunes? Is it a different format than the others?

Yeah they do work on iTunes, and they are MP3 files...

Were they problematic songs at one time? So, did you have to fix them in iTunes to get them to play? Possibly the damaged version was sync'd to your iPod. Remove the song from the iPod and put them back on again.
