View Full Version : Why does Remote App sort alphabetically?

I've noticed with Apple Store content, the TV shows sort in order of episode number, as I like it. But if the shows are ripped by me, they only sort alphabetically.
Has anyone else figured out how to avoid this alphabetical sorting?
Tag your shows correctly and they will show in the proper order. Mine certainly do.

Excellent reply that neither helps nor informs. I sort my shows by Season and Ep. Number. In the Apple TV, they show up in the proper numerical order. But in the Remote App, they show up alphabetically.
To be fair, it's impossible for me to point out what exactly you're missing since you didn't post how you tagged your shows. If purchased content is listed by date and personally ripped content by alphabet, common sense would dictate one of the MANY tags that can be applied to a media file is being neglected. For example, there's episode ID and episode #, which are separate.
