iTouch 2g and Pioneer Car Audio

Hello:

I've been unsuccessul in searching the forums for an answer to this question:

Does anyone have direct experience with controlling an iTouch 2g with any of the late model Pioneer car audio decks? I could not get a definitive answer from Pioneer technical support. I'm concerned because I can't try the one I want before I buy it, and we all know that there are many accessories that won't charge, control, etc. the 2g.

I just bought the new 2G Touch, and also purchased the Pioneer DEH In deck ipod stereo. It charges and controls the ipod, with no problems. You can even elect to use other USB devices to play. Comes with ipod controller. I love mine, bought same day that I bought my touch, all at electronics express, got free install on top of it. I hope this helps.

Thanks very much for the reply. Exactly which model did you purchase? Also, is the iPod controller separate from the radio? The one that I want to buy has integrated iPod control - some of Pioneer's older decks require an accessory.

The stereo has plug in back then you get a USB wire to plug iPod into. You can plug any USB into it. Thumb drive or iPod. I have tried both since last post. I hope this was helpful
