Hey guys,
Well, I just figured out that the 2nd Generation iPod Touch doesn't come with a charger. Isn't that a bit stupid of Apple to do? Or is there another way to charge it I don't know of?
Anyways, which charger should I buy if it proves to be a necessity?
Ohh, also, is there anyway to get the Album Covers if the "automatic finder" fails to locate any from their database?
Cheers, Miika K
Yay on first post!

Apple stopped including chargers several years ago; it's one of the reasons they can claim that prices are going lower ;-) You can charge the Touch by connecting it to a computer using the dock connector cord that came with the Touch.
Plenty of "approved" chargers available; I prefer to use the Apple chargers simply because I know they're good quality/good circuits. Just don't lowball your charger; it's not worth saving $10 to get a dodgy charger for cheap (IMO).

Ahh, alright. However, my computer is down on the floor, and my chair right next to it, so I don't really want to put it to charge there, I might accidentally crush it. Where/how do you think it would be best positioned?

Oof -- I never put a computer on the floor, for about the same reasons (wet feet, spillage, kicks, cat hair, etc. ;-) You can get a USB cable extender (6 feet for $15) that will allow you to get the Touchup higher.

Your my hero. Thanks loads. By the way, do you know about the cover art thing (1st post)

Sure, there's tons of art out there. I like to use SlothRadio (http://www.slothradio.com/covers/). Other places are wikipedia.com, CDcovers.cc (http://www.cdcovers.cc/), GoogleImages (http://images.google.com.au/), amazon.com, CDUniverse.com (http://www.cduniverse.com/default.asp), AlbumArtExchange.com (http://www.albumartexchange.com/), and a host of others. There's apps to locate art as well; never used any.
When you see art you like, drag it to your desktop or right-click to copy it to the clipboard; then select all the tracks that will get the art, right-click for Get Info, and drop/paste into the Artwork box; done.
Note that the art you download from the iTunes Store does not get embedded into your music files (the above method does embed the art right into the files), so if your files are ever away from your iTunes -- or if your iTunes goes belly up one day -- the Store art will be gone. If you'd rather have your art embedded in the files (just about everyone does), thre are scripts to automate the task. (Don't have links right now; post again if interested).

I am interested in those scripts. Will they run on Windows?

Well, the Windows ones will (or at least, they should...not a Windows user, so never tested them out ;-) Check out the end of this thread (http://forums.ilounge.com/showthread.php?t=240383).
