this isnt really a question about the phone but more about a plan. someone is ordering a iphone and doesnt want it so i will be taking it from them. i will put in my own sim car. do i still pay a activation fee on it? i order the iphone but i am returning it because i was told that i will not be paying a activation fee but i looked at the bill and it said i have to pay the activation fee

If your sim card was never activated then yes they will charge u at activation time NO MATTER what phone u use the sim in.
If the sim card is already activated, came from an old phone, then just use it. I vaguely recall iPhone can use sim card if originally activated in 2007 but not earlier. Not sure. Try. It won't blow up. Promise.
