Hi,
I will be the proud owner of an iPhone in the next couple of days so I've been cleaning up my old phone, contacts and all that..
What I would like to do is transfer all the text messages from my Nokia N95 to my new iPhone. Does anyone know how this can be achieved? - My contacts are fine as they'll sync via Outlook/iTunes.
Also, I'm registered with o2 BlueBook and know I can resent txt's back to my phone but it costs £0.25 per message to do that.. any way to transfer txt's manually?
Thanks in advance :-)

Hi,
Congratulations with the new iPhone! I'm sure you'll like it very much!
Unfortunately, I don't know of any way to send(copy) SMS messages from one phone to another. There's no way of accessing the SMS's stored in the iPhone, to add any [unless sent to the phone of course]. There's also no option within iTunes for synchronizing.
I'm not sure if there's an option to do this via Jailbreak, but I don't know much down that route, so I'll leave that to another member.
Just did a quick Google search, and found this website;

Not sure if it's what you're looking for; it might help.

Just start fresh... Im sure your SMS are not life importancy.... start new... even I delete my SMS on my iPhone... probably cuz I get over 300 per day... but yea.... as far as contacts goes... the iPhone will sync with outlook... at least mine does :D

Nice one..
Thanks guys..
I did in fact find an app on the N95 to back up to txt files, but no way to import them into iPhone, it don't matter anyway, I love the new interface!

Yea... I love the chat interface on the SMS too... I never have to return back to the inbox to reread what I am replying.... the only thing I dislike about it is I cannot forward text messages nor can I see how many text messages I have in my inbox and outbox hehe :D
