Hello Everyone,

I hope it's okay to post this in the forum. My IPhone is no longer being detected by my PC. It doesn't show it charging, and it doesn't show up in iTunes. I've tried to plug my phone into other computers of people that have IPhones and the phone isn't detected by those PCs either. The really strange part is if I plug the phone into the wall charger it starts charging the phone. I've reinstalled iTunes and rebooted my phone a couple times none of these things have fixed the problem. It seems like it would be a problem with the phone and not a software issue. If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix the problem please let me know. Thanks for the help.

Sincerely,

Corey

First thing I'd try is a good reset on the iPhone, where you hold the home button & sleep button until the screen flashes white and reboots.
After that try using another sync cable and a different USB spot on the computer.

Thanks ReyZero. I've tried those things already, and they didn't help.

Alright then, if the cable/computer doesn't change anything then the iPhone must have a problem with the dock connector. You should probably exchange it at the Apple store, unless you want to try restoring it to factory install and reinstalling the update again.
