Current BlackJack AT&T owner, want Iphone, have question

Hello there! I currently have the BlackJack II through AT&T service with unlimited Data Plan and I just don't like how the phone functions. I am looking to purchase a first gen iphone on ebay without a simcard that has been activated. Will my sim card in the blackjack II work with the first gen iphone? I am also looking to cancel my data plan since I don't use it all that much besides when I'm at home which I have wifi here so no need for the internet outside of the home.

Please someone let me know, I would like to get it before Christmas.

I read through the main feature thread of the first gen iphone and it stated that MOST sim cards through AT&T would work but I just need to be sure.

Your SIM card will be fine in the first gen iPhone. You don't need a data plan, if you plan on only using WiFi.
