View Full Version : How quick should my mail inbox mirror my hotmail inbox?

ive just bought the plus account and ive been checking it out. ive noticed that my deleted emails that i deleted on my laptop have not been deleted from my mail inbox on the phone.
googlemail did this instantly :(
any ideas?

its like they are not synced at all with each other. :(

Could be that when you accessed your mail with Google, it checked the e-mail from the server.
The iPhone and your laptop won't be synced to delete e-mail that have been downloaded onto each other. The difference between web-based and not.

ok, but still when i erase emails from hotmail on the web, surly when i then refresh my iphone mail inbox this should reflect exaclty what i have just done on the web?

Since I don't use web based e-mails I can only assume that the iPhone downloads the e-mail to your phone, and Google just had something special going for it.
