Hi there. I was wondering if anyone knew of a method of preventing iPhone photos being automatically available to anyone who plugs a handset into a computer via USB? I have photos on my iPhone of my kids and wouldn't want them available to just anyone who happened to get hold of my iPhone should I happen to lose it. However, even with the lock activated, I have noticed it doesn't prevent the ability to copy the photographs off the device.

I tried Picvault but it was ridiculously slow to the point of being unusable.

Thanks in advance.

I think if you moved the photos from the camera roll you should be safe.
I know when I have a lock and plug it into iTunes, it tells me that it cannot sync and that I must enter the password and reconnect it.
I haven't paid attention to the camera part and I'm not sure if the computer can see that right off the bat, but I'm pretty sure the photo part can't be pulled.

Cheers, will do this. Anyone in the know would still be able to get the photos off using SSH but there is only so much someone can do to secure a device.

Thanks again.
