Problem with IPhone & ATT Mail Problem

Hi all,
I'm new to my IPhone - original Iphone. I've set up the e-mail with my accounts at ATT.NET (Yahoo provider) and I have a problem that I haven't had w ith my ITouch.
After I check my e-mail on my IPhone, later I'll check my e-mail on my computer and the e-mails I checked on my IPhone are no longer on my e-mail account. They are still on my IPhone. I've turned off the PUSH option and now manually check my e-mails.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to stop the e-mails from being deleted off my e-mail account? It makes it combersome to have e-mails on one device but not in my account.

I had a similar issue. When I first set up the phone, I synced up my pacbell . net account from Outlook. This set up the phone with POP mail. It turns out i had to delete this from the iphone, and set up my mail using Yahoo Mail from the options. I still used my pacbell . net account and password, but now it is like the equivalent to using Webmail, and Outlook retains control over the contents of the inbox. Hope this helps.

If you go into your iPhone's e-mail settings (I believe the function will be in the options for each e-mail) there's an option to leave e-mails on server or not.
