Very disappointing for a $45 case. It's quite pretty, and while it adds a lot of bulk, it does give the impression of serious protection. However, the bulk is its downfall.

First off, the screen cover suffers from a lot of bubbling. I guess it sits a micron or two above the actual surface of the phone's touch-screen, so you'll start to see "sticky" areas where you've touched, with the surrounding areas looking a bit dimmer. basically, it looks like you've got water spilled on the phone... all the time.

The "window" that surrounds the touch-screen also have a very tall ridge that butts right up against the actionable area's edge, which makes it difficult to use controls at the top or bottom edges of the screen. Double-tapping the status bar to scroll to the top of an app is nigh-impossible.

The biggest, problem, however, is that the case is so thick that using the buttons becomes very problematic. The home button is the least affected, requiring just enough extra pressure to operate that I'd end up having to hit it twice most of the time until I got used to it. The volume buttons require a lot of force, though, and the lock button is almost unusable. You have to really mash down hard to get it to click.

Worst, though, is the silent switch. It's not covered, but recessed. Unfortunately, it's so far in, and butts up right against the wall of the case, that it simply cannot be used. If I didn't have long fingernails on my right hand (for fingerpicking guitar), I simply would not be able to use the switch at all. A normal adult finger simply cannot access the switch.

Overall, the Fuse turned my phone from an elegant appliance that's a joy to use, into a bulky, painful box with a grainy, ugly screen. Big thumbs down.

Pretty much exactly the same reaction I had when I got mine tonight. I bought directly from Iskin from their Black Friday sale and got a 25% discount, but it's still too much and I've already contacted them to send it back. It's truly awful, to the point of being nearly unusable. It's almost as if it wasn't field-tested or something because I don't know how they could have put this into production with that deep, flat-edged bevel on it as it is. Why that isn't angled toward the screen is beyond me, but it's a deal-killer - not being able to access nearly 1/8" of the screen makes a lot of apps unusable. Another major issue is making the headphone opening the size of the Apple headphone jack. What were they thinking?! What a, frankly, STUPID move, or one designed to garner sales of their headphone port adapter. Well, if that was the case, it backfired - the case is now going back to them because of these two issues. Very unfortunate as I've really liked Iskin cases in the past. I hope this isn't indicative of the direction things are going at Iskin. I will now be very hesitant to blindly buy Iskin products because of this . . .

In case anyone's curious, Iskin was very easy to deal with returning the Fuze. I wonder if they're getting a lot of returns on this one?

My luck with cases went similarly bad with the Griffin Wave that I've been using since I got the 3G back in July - I put it back on my Iphone and a few days later, when taking it off to get some dust/hair out from underneath it, the front plastic snapped clean through on the "bar" that crosses from the two bottom corners. Can't win, apparently. I went to a local "non-Apple" store and checked out the cases and, wouldn't you know it, despite my protests about Iskin, I walked out with a deep-blue Solo case. So far, I really like it. I'd prefer the hard-case approach of the Fuze and Wave, but this semi-silicone case is very, very nice. (Can't say the same for the included screen protector - once I get some free time, I will be ditching Iskin's one for the good old Power Support Crystal one.)

I haven't heard anything yet from iSkin regarding my return; they were very prompt in getting me a return auth form, though.

Anyway, I got a SwitchEasy Contour Rebel, and it's been great so far.
