I've just switched to the storm on Verizon (from the BB Curve on ATT) because I enjoy the Blackberry platform but really like the touchscreen interface and need GSM (Storm is CDMA/GSM) for traveling. Well, the storm is so buggy and horrible at the present time, it is unusable.... Soooo, I'm looking at the IPhone...
As far as email is concerned (my biggest concern), you chose the interval it will check e-mail, it is not push (unless you pay for a service) correct? I really like the instantaious e-mail on the BB, so what is the shortest interval I can chose? And if I go that short, will my phone make it through the day without one charge??
I really appreciate the help!

Regards,
Tom

I never had my phone run out within a day using fetch every 15 min myself.
For more detailed push/email info, check this doc:

Excellent! Thanks for the link.
Others who have thier e-mail polled more often?
Looking at that document, it seems as if Fetch's shortest interval is 15 minutes... is that true?
Also, If I went with MobilME for the push capability, does that not use the battery as much, or would that drain it just as much??
Thanks again!

The shortest automated interval for Fetch is indeed 15 minutes. I use MobileMe, Gmail and Yahoo on my iPhone. When MM changed to push I didn't really notice much of a change in battery life. The only change was my getting email quicker.
