I've read all the articles about swapping in the library ID from your first computer to the second one.

Problem is, the first computer is garbage. I can't turn it on. Please don't tell me I have to wipe the library off my iPhone. :mad:

As long as the hard drive is still working you should be able to pull all of your files onto your new computer.

All you have to do is transfer the files you have on iphone to the library.
There's lots of good apps for this. you can use a iPhone to PC Transfer to help you backup all the things on your iphone to your computer. And add them onto your itunes.
