This topic pops all time. I made a mistake and bought an amplified Belkin car adapter. Now I noticed that Belkin has non amplified adapter too: Mobile Power Cord for iPod (http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=&Section_Id=201526&pcount=&Product_Id=164964#)
For some reason it's the cheapest one:
iMonster - $40
Sik - $30
Belkin - $12
Did somebody try this Belkin, can it pause iPod when engine off, as Belkin amplified does?

What is the difference between the "amplified" one and the "non-amplified" one? Well, aside from the noted amplification? Does it make a sound difference? Sorry... Curiousity :)

Doesn't look like there's any line-out at all on that one, plus the website says it is $24.99, not $12...

Don't think that is a line level jack. It is a DC jack. You would still have to plug the FM unit into the Headphone jack.
