I'm trying to buy ICE LINK for my sony head unit, but its says they are sold out. Is there anywhere else i can buy an icelink for sony head unit? Do i have to have a cd changer in my car for the icelink to work? I just have a SOny CDXMP70, with a single deck cd player, but it has cd changer controls, do i need a cd changer for icelink to work?

I have no idea where you can buy them, but I know you do not need a cd changer for the icelink to work. I believe the icelink plugs into the dim cable, which is what a cd changer uses also.

Hey, you can save yourself quite a bit of money by forgoing the Ice-link! You have the CDX-MP70, which I also have. It has an on-board AUX input in the back of the head unit. All you need to do is run one of those RCA --> Headphone cords (like one used for a Discman) from the AUX input in the back to your iPod, press "Source" until the AUX setting comes up, and voila, the best sound you could possibly get from the iPod in your car. Also in the menu for AUX is a way to adjust the amplification of the port, so you can tweak that to make it sound the best.
I actually did a more complete installation of my iPod involving the AUX port on that head unit. I bought a Belkin iPod car charger, took it apart, and ran a couple wires from it to the power in the back of the stereo and to the AUX input. Thus, I only have one wire (the dock connector wire) running from a small box in the hole in my dash (I have a 2000 VW Jetta) to the iPod, the rest is hidden. It's quite elegant if I must say, and sounds phenomenal. I'll post pictures and directions when I get the time. But for now, just know that it was more worth it to do that, and costs less than the ice-link.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the help. I just got a reply from Denison IceLink. They said that it wont be in stock till end of March. I'll just get the rca cables and have my aut guy hookup a nice installation. I'll post pica ASAP. I just got the ipod 20gb, and now i dont need to bring all my dam cds in the car and worry about someone stealing them.

One more thing. You said that you use the Belkin charger. Is it any good? I've heard that when you use that charger you can hear a buzzing noise when you accelerate.
