Hello everybody,

I want to get the new ipod touch 2nd generation. I have the Ipod Hi-Fi speakers and i was wondering if i'm going to be able to use them with the new ipod touch?. I know the new ipod touch is not compatible with FIREWIRE devices for charging so that means i wont be able to use the ipod hi-fi to charge my ipod anymore, but atleast will it work as speakers??

thanks in advance.

I can confirm that they work, but do not charge the iPod Touch 2G.

thanks for the response.

But, i've read comments saying when you put your ipod on the Ipod Hi-FI speakers, your ipod screen's then shows a message with something like "charging is not supported with this accesory". So, are you able to skip the message and play your music with the speakers? or this info is not true and there's no message with the ipod hi-fi?

Yes you can dismiss the message and keep playing your music.
