Accelerometer Glitch

I have a jailbroken 16gb itouch running 2.1 and sometimes when I am walking with it (while listening to music) the song progress bar (+ music control buttons, etc...) will switch to coverflow because the accelerometer senses the change in position (force of gravity, w/e) the problem is when I then hold it upright to look at it, it does not seem to sense the change because it will often not switch back to the song I am listening to, it stays with the albums. Coverflow does not freeze however, I can scroll through the albums it just won't go to the progress bar unless I hit the Home button and then go back into it. anyone know why this is and/or how to fix it? thanx

I've had the same problem with my 32GB touch (not jailbroken) running v2.1. It's annoying. I think it a bug in the v2 firmware. I don't remember having this problem before upgrading. There are a lot of bugs like this in v2.

Folks-
I have the same problem when I'm listening to music. Sometimes it will flip to the coverflow (when I first turn it horizontally), but then when I return it vertically, the coverflow will not change back to the album view. Again, this only happens sometimes, and usually when listening to a song that is associated with an album with cover art. My guess is that the processor is busy playing the music and handling other items associated in the background with the picture, and it's not letting the accelerometer do it's job (sort of like windows hanging when running multiple applications...). Or it's a bug in the software.
Not a big problem, just annoying.
