Hi guys, quick question.

If i buy an iPhone from O2 using their Payasyougo thing, will I be able to take the phone back to Hong Kong and use a Hong Kong SIM card instead? Obviously I will lose the O2 unlimited web+wifi, but my question is whether the O2 iPhone is locked to only O2 sims.

Thanks.

I take it you live in Europe. If you want a SIM-free iPhone (i.e. an iPhone that's not locked to a particular carrier), then you should be able to buy one in Belgium. Visit a MobiStar retail store. :)

Or buy one in Hong Kong. They also sell SIM-free iPhones officially.

I already have an iPhone, i just want to use a local sim when i go back in christmas.

What about using something like Rebel Sim Card? (can't post links, google it)
