Jailbreak/unlock/apps

Hi,

I posted this to the Hacks and Mods forum but thought I'd take a chance and post here also and hopefully between the two, someone may have an answer.

I have a 1G iphone which has been unlocked and jailbroken and is using V 1.3 software.

My question: Is there a way to upgrade to V 2.xxx software so that I can take advantage of downloading all the cool apps WITHOUT undoing what I've already done - having my iphone unlocked with the ability to use T-mobile is worth more to me for now than the apps and I don't want to lock it back up.

Could someone please tell me if, and how, I can do this?

Why would someone post a Jailbreak/unlock/apps in this forum nowing that there is a Hacks and Mods forum on top of all of this cross posting the same question in both maybe you can contenue to post the same question in all the forums to get more visability someones got to know right?

WHAT A COMPLETE JERK YOU ARE!!!! For all the info you let loose, you could've just saved yourself the time and trouble if you didn't have an answer and were aggravated by my twice-post. FYI, I posted to the Hack forum first and when I didn't get a response I thought I might try here. After all, I have seen after posts in THIS forum which could have also gone to the Hack forum instead.
