Surround Sound From Iphone?

I recently got some new speakers for my computer so i took the old ones out and hooked them up in my garage.

I thought i could just use the Aux input in the back with my IPhone and play music through the speakers.

The Speakers are Creative inspire p7800 7.1 surround sound. When i plugged in my phone and tried to play music the sound only came through the subwoofer and the two front speakers.

I am wondering if there is anyway around this?
Any Help would be very appreciated

Doubt it. If there is it is in the reciever or program. I set my home surround reciever to play music through all speakers, but then have to change it when watching a movie. I used to have my computer as my tv, DVD player, and computer and had surround on that but to have music play through all speakers I had to mess with the settings in the program for my sound card.

check your sound card settings, there might be a setting that will simulate Surround Sound from a streeo source. not all sound cards have this ablity. thith sound blaster cards I think they call it CMSS, and with my Realtek HD Audio There is a setting called speaker fill that does this.
